Passwordless Instagram Login

Connect an Instagram account using Login with email: Instagram sends a login code or login link to the contact details linked to the account, and the account owner confirms the login without entering an Instagram password.

This guide covers preparing a login link, connecting an account for the first time, and reconnecting it after Instagram ends the session. Click any screenshot to enlarge it.

Before you start

• You need access to the email address linked to the Instagram account. If Instagram offers SMS verification, you need access to the linked phone number for that route.
• The account owner needs a valid login link. Creating and managing login links requires the corresponding package access; the owner can then follow the link to complete the connection.
• Instagram determines which verification options are available. If it requests an additional verification step, complete the step shown on screen before expecting a successful connection.

1. Prepare a passwordless login link

The person managing the connection configures the link first. The account owner can start with section 2 if the link is already prepared.

1. Open Login Links in Proxy Manager Pro, then start a New Link.
2. Choose Single account for one selected account, or Universal link to let the visitor choose an account when opening the link. The example uses Universal link.
3. For a universal link, enable Enable username search if you want the owner to see matching Instagram profiles while entering the username. Check the expiration date so the link remains valid when the owner opens it.
4. Configure branding under Whitelabel Settings if needed. A Login link preset can apply saved settings; review the resulting login options before saving.

Enable the email login options

1. Expand Login Form Settings.
2. Turn on Use Login with email as default login method (Passwordless). This makes email login the default method for this link.
3. Turn on Automatically connect with email (skip login form, Passwordless only) if you want the visitor to proceed directly to email verification without a separate password form. Leave it off if the visitor should see the form and optional password field first.
4. Decide whether to enable Skip Consent Screen (Optional). Leave it off to show the access explanation and let the owner review it before continuing, as in this example.
5. Review the remaining visible fields, then click SAVE LINK. Copy the saved login link and give it to the Instagram account owner.

2. Connect the Instagram account for the first time

Follow these steps as the Instagram account owner. The exact screens depend on the saved link settings: a single-account link may already identify the account, and automatic email connection may skip the optional password form.

Step 1. Open the link and choose your account

1. Open the login link you received. A universal link shows Connect an Instagram account.
2. Enter the Instagram username of the account you want to connect.
3. If username search is enabled, select the correct profile from the matching results. Check the username and profile photo, then click Continue.

Step 2. Review the access explanation

If the consent screen is enabled, check the selected account and the organization requesting access. The example explains Profile Access (basic account details) and Media Access (posts and media details). Read the explanation, then click Continue if you want to proceed. If the link skips consent, move to the next screen.

Step 3. Start Login with email

If the login form appears, leave Password (Optional) empty to use passwordless login, then submit the connection form. Advanced Options contains additional settings when they are available. With automatic email connection enabled, the link can start this step for you without displaying the form.

The Connecting... indicator means the request is in progress. Wait for the email verification screen. The password is optional for this method; if Instagram logs the account out later, you will need to reconnect using Login with email again or provide the current Instagram password.

Step 4. Get the Instagram login code

1. On Login with email, check the masked destination shown on screen. It should match the contact details linked to your Instagram account.
2. Open that mailbox and find the newest Instagram login email. Check the spam or junk folder if it is missing. If you selected an available SMS route, check the linked phone instead.
3. Copy the login code from that message. The first-connection screenshot asks for an 8-to-10-digit code; reconnect screens can accept 6-to-10 digits. Follow the current screen and enter the complete code you actually received. Do not add digits to fill unused boxes.

Step 5. Submit the code and check the result

1. Enter the code in Instagram login code, then click Connect.
2. Wait while the button shows Connecting.... Keep the page open until the request finishes.
3. Look for Account connected successfully. This is the confirmation that the connection is complete. The Account button opens the account workspace; other buttons depend on the features available for this link.

Use the Instagram email login link instead

If the Instagram email provides a login button rather than a usable code, choose Try using the Instagram email login link instead. In the Accounts popup, the equivalent option is Use email login link.

1. Open the newest Instagram login email and copy the full address of its login button using the mail app or browser link-copy action.
2. Paste that address into Instagram email login link and submit it. The supported link contains the Instagram login parameters, including uid and token; copy the whole address.
3. Wait for the success confirmation. If the link has expired or was already used, request a new message and copy the new link. You can switch back to the code option if Instagram supplies a code.

3. Reconnect from Instagram Accounts

Instagram may end an existing session. On Instagram Accounts, the account then shows Click here for re-connect. An account connected without a saved password needs a fresh email login confirmation.

1. Find the disconnected account on Instagram Accounts and click Click here for re-connect.
2. In the Login with email popup, check the destination and retrieve the newest login code from the linked email address or phone number.
3. Enter the complete 6-to-10-digit code and click Continue. You can use Use email login link if you have a login-button URL instead of a code.
4. If no message arrives, use Resend when available, then use the newest code or link. Close exits the popup without completing verification.
5. Wait for the result, then check that the account card shows Account connected. If another verification step appears, complete it before checking the final account status.

4. Reconnect through the personal login link

The account owner can also reopen the valid personal login link for an account previously connected with Login with email. The page identifies the account and offers re-authentication.

Step 1. Start re-authentication

1. Open the personal login link and check the account shown on the page.
2. Click Reconnect to reconnect that account. The button changes to Reconnecting... while the request is being prepared.
3. Wait for Login with email. The page also offers Connect with new session as a separate option; the sequence below follows Reconnect.

Step 2. Enter the new verification code

1. Get the newest Instagram login message and enter the full 6-to-10-digit code in Instagram login code.
2. If needed, select Try using the Instagram email login link instead and paste the full login-button URL from the new email.
3. Click Continue. If you need a new message, wait for the countdown on Resend code to finish before requesting another code. Back returns to the previous screen.

Step 3. Wait for reconnect confirmation

After you submit the code, wait while the button displays a loading indicator. The flow is complete when Account connected successfully appears. Depending on the link settings, you can then use Edit account, Account, or the other available module buttons.

If something does not work

• No passwordless options: ask the person managing the connection to check the saved Login Form Settings and your access to the feature. If the password form still appears, check whether Automatically connect with email is enabled.
• No email or SMS: verify the masked destination, check spam or junk, and use Resend or Resend code when it becomes available. If you cannot access that mailbox or phone, restore access or update the contact details in Instagram before retrying.
• Rejected code: check that the code belongs to this account and the newest login request. Enter all digits exactly as received. After requesting a replacement, use the new message.
• Email link rejected: copy the full login-button address from the newest Instagram email. A used or expired link needs to be replaced with a new one.
• Instagram requests more verification: complete the additional step displayed by the interface. Passwordless login still requires Instagram to confirm account ownership.
• Account disconnects again: repeat either reconnect flow above. A previous successful passwordless connection does not guarantee that Instagram will keep the session active.
• Personal login link no longer opens: ask the person managing the connection for a valid link. The service login link has its own expiration setting, separate from the code or login-button URL sent by Instagram.
